Welcome to The European College of Bovine Health Management (ECBHM)

The European College of Bovine Health Management (ECBHM) is an EBVS accredited veterinary specialty college dedicated to advancing all aspects of bovine heath management based on scientific evidence.

 The college acccredits trainings institutions, provides training and education for its residents and certifies veterinary specialists in bovine health management.  The ECBHM serves as source of expertise in all areas related to bovine health, wellbeing and productivity.

EBC 2027

 

  • The EBC 2027 will be held in Belfast from 20-22 of October, jointly organised by BCVA, ECBHM and AVSPNI.
 
  • The ECBHM 2027 AGM is planned to take place during the event. Further details will be announced in due course. 

 


 

  • The WBC in 2026 will be held in Istanbul from 6 till 10th of September (click for more information at the picture above)

ECBHM Residents' Workshop 2026

 

The ECBHM Residents' Workshop 2026 will be held in Switserland from 5 to 8 May 2026.

 

General Program

5 May 2026 (evening): Arrival of ECBHM residents

6 May 2026: Discussions with residents led by Rachel Ridgway, Co-Chair of the ECBHM Examination Commission, on exam strategies and preparation

7 May 2026: “Talk to Transform: communication strategies for effective bovine herd health management”, led by Linda Dorrestein, Alison Burrell, and Geert Vertenten

8 May 2026 (morning): End of the workshop; optional city sightseeing
 

 

Travel Information

The nearest airports are Zurich, Basel, and Geneva. From Zurich and Geneva, there are direct trains from the airport to Bern main station. From Basel Airport, you can take a bus to Basel main station and then a direct train to Bern.

The 2025 ECBHM certifying examination took place at Vetmeduni Vienna, where a dedicated group of candidates took on the challenge of this rigorous process.
