About the Vice-President
Mireille Meylan graduated from the
University of Berne, Switzerland, in 1988. After a year in a rural practice in
Switzerland, she worked for 4 years at the Clinic for Ruminants of Berne
University and also obtained her doctoral degree during that time. From 1993 to
1995 she completed a residency program in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery at
the Ohio State University, USA. She has been working at the Clinic for
Ruminants, Vetsuisse Faculty of Berne University since 1996 and is currently an
associate professor in charge of internal medicine. Mireille Meylan holds a
Master of Science degree from the Ohio State University, a PhD degree and an
habilitation from the University of Berne. She is not only a diplomate of the
ECBHM but also of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine ACVIM.
Her main research interests are gastrointestinal motility and digestive
disorders, calf health, Johne's disease and New World camelid medicine
Vice-President's remit.
The Ordinary Members of the Board shall undertake any necessary duties to fulfil
the remit of the Board.
